GNM nursing diploma is the most basic course and is of the shortest duration, and in the meantime the students have to learn all the nuances involved with the profession. The diploma level programme aims to train the students as nurses and help them develop skills to function efficiently in a hospital environment and can provide first aid, blood pressure monitoring, etc. along with having skills to function effectively in a team, assisting in research activities.
Educational Qualification : Students who wish to pursue GNM diploma can proceed after passing their class 12 exam with science stream.
Age Limit : The age limit is minimum 17 years and maximum 30 years. This course is for both male and female students.
Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State and Government/U.T. Administration and the University.
GNM or General Nursing Midwifery is a Three and a half-year diploma course in the field of Nursing.
