‘Karimpur Anita Primary Teacher’s Training Institute’ was established through the dedicated efforts of the ‘Sri Ramkrishna Trust Board’ with the objective of promoting quality teacher education in a densely populated region that has historically faced educational limitations. For many years, the absence of a Primary Teachers’ Training Institute in the area highlighted the need for a specialised institution to support the professional development of aspiring and in-service primary school teachers.

The Karimpur and Tehatta regions of Nadia district have witnessed significant educational growth, with the establishment of numerous primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools, as well as several colleges. However, despite this progress, the lack of a local teacher training institution remained a major challenge for students and educators seeking professional qualifications in elementary education.

Recognising this long-standing need, 'Karimpur Anita Primary Teacher's Training Institute' was founded to provide accessible and quality teacher training opportunities to the people of the region. Prior to its establishment, aspiring teachers and serving educators often had to travel long distances- sometimes more than 50 kilometers -to enroll in teacher training programs. This created significant difficulties, particularly for students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

To address these challenges and strengthen the educational infrastructure of the region, the ‘Sri Ramkrishna Trust Board’ envisioned and established this institution as a center of academic excellence and professional learning. The institute is committed to preparing competent, skilled, and socially responsible educators through comprehensive training, modern teaching methodologies, and learner-centred educational practices.
